Trying vs Training

and doing the work

That thing you can’t do that seems impossible today is almost certainly doable if you train for it vs just go and ‘try’.

Can you run a marathon? If I paid you $10,000 could you do it today? The answer is almost certainly NO! Unless you had started training for it months or years ago. If you just laced up the Nikes and ran out the door chasing the $10k, you’d almost certainly crash and burn by mile 4. No matter how hard you try, it won’t happen today but it could definitely happen this year.

People from all walks of life run marathons every single day after spending months training daily for the effort and teaching their mind and their body how to do it. First, they had to want to do it and then they had to decide to do the work.

That’s the difference between trying and training.
