Is It God Crazy?

If it looks absolutely crazy to everyone else around you (and maybe also to you), there’s a great chance that God is in it and that it’s exactly what you should do. That’s how He works apparently. He deals in the twilight zone. His ways ain’t our ways ya know. How can you tell the difference between God Crazy™ and well, just not smart at all?

If you’re sure that everyone else thinks your nuts for taking this particular path or doing this thing, that alone isn’t enough information (although it’s your first indication that God is near). If it looks ‘cool’ in the world, it’s less likely to be Him.

Here are a few other questions to ask yourself - and ask Him:

• What’s my core motive for this?

• Does this thing make my heart sing? or is it just a thing?

• Who am I doing this for?

• Was this my idea? or do I at least ‘think’ it was God?

• How many people will this serve other than me?

• Am I afraid to do this? (this IS a good thing. Do it)

• Will I feel more alive by doing this vs not?

• When it works, will it have been worth the risk?

That last one is a trick question. It’s always worth the risk.
