Breathing in today

Spring has sprung! A wonderful new month is here. Do you expect it to be wonderful? What if we do that?

Monday, May 1st is a fresh new wonderful day. Just today. Time to pause and pull back to today. How do we live FOR today while only expecting great things in the future and not allowing the future tripping anymore.

Future Tripping is all that worrying that we do about things in the future that have not even happened yet but ‘might’ happen (fear). This is an actual clinical term, also called anticipatory anxiety. It’s killing your joy. It pulls us out of living well in the present.

The simple yet amazingly difficult alternative is constantly pulling our hearts and minds back to the right now joy of today (it can be done)

How do we pull back:

  • A purposeful focus on experiencing today (inside your head and heart)

  • Intentionally forming a vision of the amazing future (what do you actually want). Everyone skips this one

  • Immediately pushing away those pesky negative thoughts as soon as they appear (taking every thought captive)
