That First Thought

What was it?

What was your very first thought when you woke up?

Literally the very first thought. Do you recall?

Think about this tomorrow morning and try to ‘catch’ that very first fleeting thought and see what it was. Was it a replay of something from yesterday? Was it a worry about some future thing that may or may not happen? Was it anger over something that happened in the past - either yesterday or last year or whatever. Worse yet, was it anger or fear about that thing that you think is going to happen? Or, was it a super-joyful and blissful notion of how amazing today is going to be?

If it wasn’t the last one, try again tomorrow.

Take that thought captive, refuse to allow it. Find an amazing vision for the new day. Shockingly, you get to just pick it. You can literally make it with your mind.
