AI Is Dangerously Wonderful

Use With Caution But Use It ASAP

I had the chance to interview a true expert in Facebook Ads last week for my podcast. He’s a subject matter expert in Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and TikTok Ads among other things. He’s also really killing it with his approach to AI. I was totally impressed with the way it has advanced his business - and I have talked to a LOT of people using AI at a pretty high level (even though it’s only been broadly available commercially for about 5 months!) I learned things on that call that I had never even heard of before. And, again, I’m pretty deeply involved. The pace of growth here is insane.

AI experts are coming out of the woodwork. It’s hard to figure out who is truly an expert at this point. Everyone is claiming to be. I think it’s kinda like Olympic Curling. Everyone becomes an expert armchair quarterback for Curling every 4 years! :)

But here’s the message…

There are lots of fears around the long-term implications of AI. Ethical use. Replacing humans. Job Losses. The immediate challenge is much more tangible.

Pretty much all experts agree that AI makes you so much more productive (when used well) that it’s no longer a level playing field for you to compete with a human using AI if you are not actively learning this new language of business. For you to hope to win against a competitor when you are doing things ‘the old way’ is like competing against Superman in arm wrestling.

I know it’s super noisy and it seems hard to find the onramp, but I can’t stress enough how critical it will be for your future as an entrepreneur or in any kind of business setting at all. You’re 1,000 miles behind after only 5 months. By the end of the year, it will be 1 million miles.
